Sundays 9 & 16 June, 11.30am-3.30pm. Join Clay OK for this two day course where you can learn a number of ceramic jewellery techniques, inspired by our ancient Egyptian jewellery.
You will make a series of ceramic artefacts that can be used as jewellery pieces or art objects, along with a porcelain trinket box to house your creations. Over two sessions you will learn how to model delicate forms from porcelain clay, carve your own ceramic stamps to create relief motifs in clay, and apply glaze colours to the ceramic surface. Designs from ancient civilizations will be used as inspiration in the sessions. Your pieces will be fired after the second session, and ready to collect from the Museum three weeks later.
Bring an apron or an old shirt.
