An event to discuss and explore ways of using collections to teach and inspire students and to find out more about what the University of Manchester Libraries Special Collections has to offer. An opportunity to meet curators and Library specialists to explore innovative teaching practice and discuss how collections can enrich your teaching. There will be introductions to the University’s digital collections, Widening Participation, the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE Centre, and our new Virtual Teaching Space.
This in-person event will also feature speakers and case studies from tutors across the University and Special Collections staff, who will be sharing their experiences of using the collections for teaching and learning. Confirmed academic speakers include: Freddy Fok (History); Josh Brown (Music), Andrew Fearnley (American Studies), Jack Webb (History), Tom Donnai (Education), Anne Kirkham (Art history).
