How can regulators, business advisors, support networks, local businesses leaders, and entrepreneurs best come together to help ensure that open competition can benefit people and businesses in the North West?

Join the discussion led by Chair of the Competition and Markets Authority Marcus Bokkerink, alongside key influencers in the region, to have your say on:

• What makes the North West a great place to live and work – what are the key growth sectors and skills?

• What are the barriers to local growth and what’s stopping the North West from reaching its full potential?

• What are the pressing consumer protection issues local people are facing and what’s stopping these issues being resolved?

About the Competition and Markets Authority: The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK’s principal competition and consumer protection authority and has an expanding presence in the North West with a new office established in Manchester. We exist to help people, businesses and the UK economy by promoting competitive markets and tackling unfair behaviour. Our work has never been more important, given the role that competitive markets play in meeting cost-of-living challenges, supporting growth and innovation across the UK economy.

This event forms part of the CMA Board’s visit to Greater Manchester to meet and hear from local businesses.
