The primary PGCE team has been working with a number of schools from the Inner Manchester region to develop an innovative approach to teacher enquiry and trainee teacher placements. The project has clear links with the university’s social responsibility priorities:
1. research with impact
2. socially responsible graduates
3. engaging our communities.
To celebrate this we are hosting a poster presentation event in which our school partners will be sharing their research projects.
Join us in the Grand Hall of Whitworth Gallery for an exciting opportunity to find out how the Primary PGCE team has forged collaborative relationships with local schools, supporting them and our trainees in investigating an area of interest. Themes range from supporting learners who have English as an additional language, to evaluating an innovative approach to mathematics, to considering Philosophy for children and the impact of therapeutic interventions.
