We invite interested researchers to a brainstorming meeting to discuss opportunities for research with Evergreen (https://www.evergreen-life.co.uk/personal-health-record) on Wednesday 25 September at 1pm-3pm in 2.326, 2nd Floor, Jean McFarlane Building.
Evergreen Life Personal Health Record is a mobile app that allows patients to access all their medical information including their GP records. The app was accredited by the NHS in March and is now available for patients across England to download. The app enables patients to add health and fitness information such as blood pressure, cholesterol or body measurements. A patient can also add your ‘over the counter’ medicines and it offers reminders to take medicines. Biological material (e.g. DNA) can be collected by patients and patient-tailored messages can be added to the app suited to a patient’s health conditions with links to articles and tips to help to effectively manage their care (further details in the attachment). Over half a million patients have now registered with this service.
This meeting will explore possible opportunities for research and establish links between researchers. Participants are requested to give a brief one slide presentation about any unpolished idea for research with this resource. A representative of Evergreen will be present to answer any question. Further details can be obtained from Professor Tjeerd van Staa, Health eResearch Centre.
Just so we can monitor numbers- please can we ask that you register your attendance via the following Eventbrite page in advance of the event:
