Title: On relations between the cohomology of some Shimura varieties
Abstract: I will discuss some joint work in progress with Pol van Hoften in which we understand some interesting spaces of correspondences between the mod p reduction of some Shimura varieties. The varieties in question are closely related to moduli of Abelian varieties with extra structures. Time permitting, I’ll explain a few things we are able to learn about the cohomology of these spaces given this extra information, and roughly how they fit into the predictions of the Langlands correspondence.
