As we countdown to the anniversary of the first Moon Landing, you are invited to join us for an unmissable opportunity to get started in astronomy.
You’ll learn how to navigate the skies and locate the stars in our inflatable Planetarium, as well as using a variety of tools from planispheres to telescopes, and enjoy short talks and demonstrations throughout the evening too. Along with the Discovery Centre’s own team, Macclesfield Astronomical Society will be on hand with telescopes and binoculars to use throughout the evening, as well as giving a series of short talks on astronomy.
Observation of the night sky will be weather permitting.
