Healthier Futures is focused on the unfair and avoidable factors that hinder people’s chances to live healthier lives, in healthier places, with access to systems that allow them to thrive (healthier systems).We are mobilising research across disciplines at the University of Manchester and with partners locally, nationally and globally to address health inequalities and ensure healthier futures for all. On Wednesday 24th June, we will be bringing people from across the University to learn more about the projects that Healthier Futures is supporting, to get involved with the activities that we are developing, to discuss what we can deliver in the future, and to provide a space for you to network with new partners from all corners of the University.
- Hear from a range of organisations on how they are working with us and how they envisage working together in the future to address health inequalities
- Learn more about Healthier Futures funded projects developed and produced in partnership with local councils, charity organisations and more.
- Discuss your ideas at our panel talk on innovation for achieveing health equity
- Engage with breakout sessions covering a range of topics, including demystifying NIHR funding, working with communities, and surgeries with colleagues from across the university who can support your interdisciplinary activities
- Tell us what you need from Healthier Futures!
