Please join us for the Manchester Medical School Doubleday Lecture 2013. This year features the highly acclaimed Professor Sunetra Gupta delivering the lecture, ‘Pandemics: are we all doomed?’
Sunetra Gupta is Professor of Theoretical Epidemiology in the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford, and a Royal Society Wolfson Research Fellow. Professor Gupta is also an acclaimed translator, an essayist and a novelist with a diverse and interesting background.
This annual event will bring together staff and students from across the Medical School and the Faculty, as well as leading figures from the University, to enjoy a stimulating and enjoyable lecture and to have the opportunity to ask Professor Gupta questions.
The Doubleday Lecture is held in the memory of a former student Edwin Doubleday who tragically died whilst undertaking his course at Manchester Medical School.
