This introductory course will explore the data analysis functionality of Microsoft Excel 2010. Examples will be worked through to demonstrate what Excel can be used for and how to make the most of some of the data analysis functions, including: built-in statistic functions; organising data using filters; pivot tables; charts. The course will be exercise-based and participants will be encouraged to practice all the techniques as they are taught. Although this is an introductory course some knowledge of basic statistics is needed.
