Anthropology, Media and Performance (AMP) PhD student Angelica Cabezas is presenting one of the practical components of her doctoral work at the Drama and Anthropology Subject Areas, in the exhibition ‘Here Is My Face: Autobiographical Portraits on HIV’ at George House Trust (75-77 Ardwick Green N, Manchester M12 6FX).
There will be a preview of the exhibition on Friday 2nd December at 6.00 pm and in case you can’t make it to the preview it will also be open to the public on:
Saturday 3rd December 2016 – Midday until 3.00 pm
Sunday 4th December 2016 - Midday until 3.00 pm
The event will be the UK debut of a photographic collection created by men who are living with HIV in Santiago, Chile, and provides an insight into their experiences with discrimination, from a position of subversion.
The exhibition is part of Angelica’s PhD at University of Manchester. A trailer of a documentary film about this journey will be screened for the audience. Please have a look at the following news clip link, for further information:
