The Women in Cancer Network are hosting an event entitled 'Positively Influence Your Workplace' in October 2019 at the Christie Education Centre.
The event aims to inspire confidence and encourage colleagues to conduct themselves in a conscious manner which embraces diversity and suppresses prejudice.
"The MCRC is a strong supporter of the Women in Cancer Network Event as we recognise the extraordinary discoveries made by women scientists. Yet, there is still much to do ensuring equity for opportunity and leadership roles in UK science. We know that this event will be a key piece in achieving a nurturing working environment to better enable innovative, high impact science in the UK" - Professor Rob Bristow, Director of the Manchester Cancer Research Centre
We are delighted that Professor Colette Fagan (UoM Vice-President for Research) will be talking as our keynote speaker and we have some workshop style training planned with the UoM Equality, Diversity and Inclusion office (Dr Rachel Cowen and Cath Prescott).
