As part of Refugee Week 2023, REACHE (Refugee and Asylum Seekers Centre for Healthcare Professionals Education) North West and The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health present: 20 years of training Refugee & Asylum Seeker Doctors & Healthcare Professionals: The REACHE Journey

REACHE (Refugee and Asylum Seekers Centre for Healthcare Professionals’ Education) was established in 2003 and has offered 692 refugee and asylum seeker healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, dentists, radiographers and allied health professionals a comprehensive pathway into NHS employment, including language and communication skills training, clinical teaching and supervision, pastoral support, professionalism training and a guaranteed placement and job in the NHS. There are opportunities on offer at the event for research collaborations, clinical placements, volunteering, advocating and supporting refugee and asylum seekers healthcare professionals and their families in our communities.
