Get yourself in the festive spirit with a free and extremely relaxed
event full of Christmas carols and festive songs, with an informal
atmosphere unlike a traditional concert.
Manchester University Music Society hosts this special 50 minute
sing-a-long celebration, open to everybody in a relaxed setting.
This relaxed performance is designed
to be less formal than other events
and is intended to be welcoming to
people who may not feel comfortable
attending concerts.
Audience members are free to move about
the concert hall or go in and out as needed.
Making noise during the performance is acceptable – please join
in with the carols and songs or get up and dance!
The lights will remain on during the concert.
Audience members will have the chance to meet the performers.
Buggy parking and baby changing facilities are provided.
A quiet room is available if time is needed away from the
performance.
The MHC is fully accessible.
Who can attend?
Anyone can attend this concert. It is especially open to:
• Visitors with autism spectrum conditions.
• Anyone with a learning disability or a sensory and
communication disorder.
• People living with dementia.
• Families with small children.

Group bookings are welcome. If you are not
attending in a group then you do not need to
book, but please note that seating will be

• Some hand-held instruments are provided,
so you can play along to the music. You’re
also welcome to bring your own.
The concert will start at 1.10pm
and end at 2pm (doors open at 12.30pm)
