This workshop will look at ways to use the ChatGPT Application Programming Interface both for teaching and research.
Using very simple Python programming and easily-shared tools, we will:
• use ChatGPT in conjunction with Padlet (AI will write a summary of Padlet posts) as shown in this video: padletAPI.mp4
• explore how chatGPT can do coding and thematic analysis of qualitative data
• experiment with chatGPT integration with real-time transcription services (for interviews, for example)
• examine ways in which you can use code to explore the latent knowledge structures in chatGPT itself
