Please come and join us Thursday October 1st @ 14:00 in person in the Emmeline Suite at the Pankhurst Institute, or virtually via Teams, for the next GenAI in Pedagogy.

Instead of our usual talks however, when staff discuss how they’ve been using GenAI in their teaching, we have a special talk to discuss a new position that has recently been filled in our faculty:

Dr Iliada Eleftheriou: (our new Faculty Lead for AI in Teaching and Learning) will discuss how the faculty is moving beyond AI policy and towards meaningful pedagogical innovation. The seminar will outline a two-phase approach to AI implementation in our faculty: starting with establishing clarity on expectations using AI in assessment, followed by engaging with programme teams to rethink assessment structures and start embedding AI in ways that are robust, evidence-informed and pedagogically meaningful.

Recognising that AI implementation will be an ongoing learning process for all of us, this session will explore how communities of practice, collaboration across programmes and student partnerships can support cycles of learning, reflection and refinement. We can build a collective understanding of what effective AI integration looks like across different disciplines by sharing challenges, lessons learnt, and emerging good practices, ensuring that teaching and assessment enhance the student experience and support students’ learning journeys.

Join us to begin the discussions on meaningful integration of AI in the curriculum. The talk will be followed by a discussion session.
