Join us at Jodrell Bank this summer as we celebrate 60 years of the Lovell Telescope in our brand new live science show.
In this whistle-stop tour of space science, you’ll discover the incredible story of the almighty Lovell telescope from its ‘first light’ in 1957, through to its ground-breaking research into pulsars and supernovae today.
Along the way, you’ll discover how the Lovell tracked Sputnik 1 and monitored the landing module of the Apollo 11 moon landing, and you’ll get to explore the telescope’s more elusive and secretive work during the cold war.
Full of fun experiments and interactive demonstrations, Jodrell Bank’s fun and fact-packed live science shows are perfect for all the family.
Part of Jodrell Bank's Summer of Science season, celebrating 60 years of the Lovell Telescope.
