In anticipation of the opening of our Chinese Culture Gallery in 2021, we’ll be welcoming in the Chinese year of the pig with an evening of culture, music, and film from one of the world’s
fastest changing countries.
We will be joined by the Ying Hua Choir from Xin Hua Chinese Association Chinese Association who will be performing on the night (6.30pm and 7.30pm).
There will be a chance to take part in a Chinese tea ceremony and a decorative knot making workshop with The Confucius Institute at The University of Manchester.
You will be able to get up close with objects from the Museum's China collection.
We'll also have a collection of pig-related objects from across the collection to celebrate the coming of the year of the pig.
This event is aimed at adults and is free to drop-in.
We will also be screening the critically acclaimed film Youth - free tickets are available via the link.
