11am-4pm. Anansi is a spider who stars in stories told in Africa and around the world. Weave a web of stories about spiders and add your story to our giant spider book. Abi "Peppers" Idowu, a poet, short story writer and playwright will be bringing to life some Anansi spider stories.
There will be live music performed by Jali Nyonkoling Kuyateh as part of the We Face Forward live music programme. Jali is a master of the African harp or Kora, an instrument built from a large calabash cut in half and covered with cow skin to make a resonator with a notched bridge like a lute or guitar.
Part of We Face Forward and the Manchester Children’s Book Festival.
