Look at everyday life from a different perspective. Join us to find out how sociologists from The University of Manchester do research on our everyday lives and try out one of our more unusual methods - sketching! Together with Lynne Chapman, urban sketcher, you will learn super-quick creative techniques. Then it's your chance to put them into practice by sketching everyday objects brought from home or from the museum collection.
No artistic experience necessary - all welcome! All materials provided.
This is a drop-in session and you don't need to register.
If you would like to hear more about our research and try a bit more sketching, have a look at our two 'Sketching the everyday' workshops also on 8 November. (You will need to register for a place on these.)
Part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
