Due to the current Coronavirus situation our face to face CPD session has been converted into online webinar.
Intended Learning Objectives:
• Define health and the underlying principles behind inequalities in health
• Explain and critically discuss the principle methods and theoretical approaches to the promotion of health and prevention of ill health.
• Apply their learning about theories and methods of health promotion, programme planning and evaluation to childhood obesity
During this interactive workshop participants will use the example of childhood obesity to explore the theory and methods for health promotion, taking into consideration the wider determinants of health and link to health inequalities. Participants will work together to plan and critically appraise health promotion strategies to reduce childhood obesity rates.
