Medieval people were pioneers of the circular economy! This presentation outlines how we can extend our knowledge of successful practices, and learn from failures, by examining historical evidence extending back over 700 years. Carolin and her colleagues advocate an interdisciplinary approach drawing on a range of disciplines, including medieval languages and art history. They are now engaging with social scientists with a view to informing current debates.
