Sensory play sessions in the beautiful surrounds of the gallery, especially for non-walking babies and their grown-ups
These sensory play sessions are specially designed to help develop your baby’s physical and social skills. The beautiful and stimulating gallery surroundings are a great place to spend quality time bonding with your baby.
We understand that caring for a baby can be lonely at times. Art Baby is a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where you can meet, play and talk with other parents and carers.
Art galleries really are brilliant places for babies. Not only is there lots of space to crawl and explore but there are lots of visual stimuli. Babies will love the patterned wallpapers, David Batchelor’s spinning sculpture Plato’s Disco, the video projections, and looking out over Whitworth Park through our stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. If you can’t make it to an Art Baby session, you can still visit us with your baby at any time.
We understand that the little things can make a big difference to a day out with babies, toddlers or preschoolers. We’ve tried our best to think of everything to make your visit that bit more brilliant – from buggy parks to free nappies and wipes. You can find more practical information for visiting families here.?
