Title: Local constancy of reduction type and related invariants in p-adic families of curves
Abstract: Invariants of curves and their Jacobians over local fields carry a lot of arithmetic information. Many such invariants depend on the reduction type of the curve, i.e. a choice of mod p reduction of the curve. In this talk we will investigate how the reduction type varies in p-adic families of smooth projective curves, and give applications to the behaviour of local invariants such as the Tamagawa number, local root number and conductor exponent.
