The next event in the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Training Event and Seminar Series will focus on polygenic risk scores, which are statistical models utilising genetic data to estimate an individual’s risk of developing a specific disease or help stratify into high, low and medium risk categories.
This event is for: Researchers and healthcare professionals who are interested in making connections around polygenic risk scores. The event aims to inform on the latest and upcoming polygenic risk score projects at Manchester BRC and facilitate future collaborations across the BRC and beyond.
This is a speed networking event which encourages you to talk to someone new and to get straight to the point in a low-pressure and fun way. Participants will have the opportunity to have brief, one-on-one conversations with multiple people quickly. There will also be two presentations on Manchester BRC projects working with polygenic risk scores.
