Communities, artists, activists, researchers and ecological organisations are invited to join us for an afternoon exploring the value of urban nature, and its effects on wellbeing, ageing and biodiversity.
After a free screening of the award-winning 2015 social and environmental documentary Demain (‘Tomorrow’), there will be an open discussion where practitioners will be able to share their ideas and discuss them with researchers.
Our discussion will cover a range of issues around the themes of cities, nature, health and wellbeing. We will consider what sorts of values are - and might be - attributed to urban green and blue spaces in a city like Manchester, particularly from the perspective of older adults and an ageing population.
We invite you to come and watch this uplifting documentary and share your local solutions for protecting and engaging with Manchester and Greater Manchester’s green and blue spaces.
The event is free but will be ticketed for event management. Please register at Eventbrite:
