Exploring the Potential and Limits of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter
This workshop will bring together workers, campaigners and people interested in promoting better work across Greater Manchester to explore what good work looks like, who has it and what action can be taken to improve the quality of work.
There will be contributions from Ian MacArthur, Director of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter; Jason Tetley, Director of the GM Law Centre; Sarah Murphy, GM Law Centre, and others.
Participants in this workshop will:
Discover how the Good Employment Charter aims to change employment practices;
Explore some of the challenges that workers are facing in Greater Manchester;
Have an opportunity to discuss what could change and share these ideas with policymakers and campaigners.
Join us at the Greater Manchester Law Centre, Stockport Road, Levenshulme.
We are particularly keen to include people on low incomes and who work in sectors that are associated with low pay and/or insecure work. Some funding is available to support local travel to attend the event for those on low incomes.
