The University of Manchester is committed to working with gifted and talented young people, helping to enrich their experience of learning by enabling them to take part in educational activities outside the classroom and to meet lecturers and students from Higher Education.
Science fiction and, increasingly, science fact is full of talk of human and animal cloning. In this session students will explore the links between science, society and ethics. Following an introduction to the genetic science involved in cloning, learners will be challenged to consider the impact that cloning might have on individuals, society and the natural world.
