Manchester Tropical Medicine Society are pleased to invite you to our lecture on the topic of the parasites causing Elephantiasis, with Professor Mark Taylor.
Professor Taylor is head of Parasitology at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Research into the parasites causing Elephantiasis (lymphatic filariasis) is one of his main areas of interest, with lymphatic filariasis being one of the leading worldwide causes of disability.
Professor Taylor works with teams across the globe, in Europe, Africa and Indonesia trialling new treatments against Elephantiasis.
