When analysing data it can be easy to forget what you've done and why you did it. For example, you may remember that you removed the outliers, but do you remember how many were removed, what effect removing them had, or why you chose the cut-off point that you used?

This can be a real problem for several reasons. What if you want to go back and make a small change in your analysis? What if you want to get your work into a publication that requires a detailed methods section? What if someone else wants to reproduce your research or apply your methods to a new data set?

This session will help you learn the importance of recording a proper workflow, will provide several options for how to record it, and help you develop the skills for making your research process clear to you and others.
