The Centre for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) is pleased to welcome the Colombian group Sonidos Enraizados. They are dedicated to researching, protecting, promoting and performing traditional Colombian music. They have produced several CD's and two documentaries. On Wednesday, 30th October they will give a seminar on different musical genres of the Colombian Caribbean and Pacific regions, with some reference to the Amazon region too and will demonstrate rhythms and melodies on traditional instruments.
