Philosophy Research Seminar: Dr David Liggins (Manchester)

Abstract: The Liar is the proposition which says of itself that it is not true. It has been extensively discussed, chiefly because it raises a paradox. Relatively neglected is the Truth-teller – the proposition which says of itself that it is true. In this talk I identify the problem the Truth-teller raises, and discuss some avenues for responding to it.
