Drop into our special collections encounter to explore the impact and aftermath of the Peterloo Massacre. The collection encounter will focus on Manchester post Peterloo specifically highlighting leading figures who made a significant contribution to the social and political landscape in Manchester and beyond.
Items from the John Rylands Library Special Collections will contribute to highlighting three key figures. All three were young men when the Peterloo Massacre (1819) occurred and all politically motivated by the fall out of mass industrialization and the social and political climate post Peterloo.
Find us in the Reading Room - drop in anytime from 2:10 – 3:20pm. No booking required.
