Service Learning is a pedagogic approach that combines academic study, student experience, and community engagement. The session aims to challenge assumptions and provide insight into a different way of approaching teaching and learning objectives.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

Define what service learning/ community engaged learning involves
Explain the basic requirements needed for a successful SL programme at HE level.
Differentiate SL from volunteering, internships and work placement.
Identify sources of support available to start and grow a project within own setting.
