Join us on Wednesday 11 March 2026 to celebrate International Women’s Day with a keynote talk from Professor Joyce Harper, a leading expert in reproductive biology and women’s health. In her lecture, Women’s Health: Past, Present and Future, Professor Harper will share insights from her pioneering career and reflect on the evolving landscape of reproductive science, leadership and equality in healthcare. The afternoon will also feature an interactive poster session showcasing research from across the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, alongside lunch and networking. This welcoming event offers an inspiring opportunity for students, staff and researchers to connect, explore new ideas and celebrate the impact of women in biology, medicine and health.

Biography: Professor Joyce Harper is a renowned reproductive biologist, educator and advocate for evidence-based conversations around fertility and reproductive health. With decades of experience at the forefront of IVF, genetics and women’s health research, she is also widely recognised for her commitment to public engagement, making complex scientific topics accessible, relevant and empowering. Her work has influenced clinical practice, public understanding and policy discussions, and she is a passionate voice for inclusivity and informed choice in healthcare.
