With Manchester at the heart of British pop music this February, drop into the John Rylands Library to encounter materials that celebrate music and popular culture across the decades. Join our curator of the British Pop Archive to see a Brit Awards inspired selection of materials from the library’s collections, including Brit Awards magazines and Spice Girls dolls through to music press coverage of the BRITs and a selection of recent important acquisitions.
The British Pop Archive is a national collection based at the John Rylands Library, dedicated to preserving and exploring British popular culture, youth culture, and counter-culture. With strong roots in Manchester’s creative history, the BPA shines a light on the people and movements that have shaped modern British life.
No need to book, just drop in.
