Reinhard Flender Quartet No. 2 (UK premiere)
Mozart Quartet in C, K465, ‘Dissonance’
The Danels open their 19th season of evening concerts at the University with a typically adventurous programme. New works from the Music Department’s own Joshua Brown and the German composer-musicologist Reinhard Flender, in celebration of his 70th birthday, are juxtaposed with Mozart’s famous ‘Dissonance’ Quartet, named after its mysterious first-movement introduction.
‘Amazing classical music concert. Quatuor Danel plays all of this music magnificently’ David Hurwirtz, Classics Today
