Title: Explicit bounds on the residue of the Dedekind zeta-function
Abstract: In analytic number theory, we can study the distribution of prime ideals in a number field through the lens of the Dedekind zeta-function. Indeed, knowledge about the invariants of the Dedekind zeta-function will enhance our understanding about the distribution of prime ideals and one of the most important invariants is the residue of its solitary, simple pole at s=1. In this talk, we explore unconditional and conditional explicit bounds for this residue, and I will describe my contributions to this area (which is joint work with S. R. Garcia).
