Please join us at a celebration event in recognition of John Knight winning a Lister Institute Research Prize.
John joined the Division of Cancer Sciences in 2022 and in 2023 he was awarded a prestigious Lister Institute Research Prize which is enabling him to establish an exciting program of work here at the University of Manchester focused on understanding the divergent roles of protein translation elongation in different cancers.
To celebrate this achievement, on Monday 20th of May the Division of Cancer Sciences will welcome representatives from the Lister Institute to the Oglesby Cancer Research Building, including Sally Burtles, Director of the Lister Institute, and Prof Sir John Iredale, Chairman of the Lister Institute, as well as former and current Lister Fellows from the University.
John will deliver his New Fellow’s presentation at 13.00 in the OCRB Lecture Theatre. If you could join us for the lecture that would be fantastic. It will be a perfect opportunity to learn more about the science from one of our more recent appointments, and it will be great to support John on this special occasion.
Kindest regards,
