10.30-11am: Coffee/Tea and Introductory Remarks by Dr Anastasia Valassopoulos (The University of Manchester)

11am-12.30pm: Six speakers will present their reflections on the seminar theme. Each speaker will speak for 15 minutes:

  • Dr Dora Carpenter-Latiri (Brighton University) – “A Return to Tunis after the Revolution: Nostalgia, Taking Part, Narrating”
  • Ms Helen Underhill (PhD candidate – The University of Manchester) – “Crossing the Red Line in the Continuing Egyptian Struggle: Voices from the UK”
  • Dr Abir Hamdar (Durham University) – (TBC)
  • Dr Nadine El Enany (Birkbeck, University of London) – “A Response to Sarah Keenan’s Subversive Property – Law and the Production of Spaces of Belonging”
  • Dr Anissa Daoudi (Birmingham University) – (TBC)

3-3.30pm: Concluding Remarks with Professor Myriam Salama-Carr (The University of Manchester)
