Look at everyday life from a different perspective. Join us to find out how sociologists from The University of Manchester do research on our everyday lives and try out one of our more unusual methods - sketching!
Lynne Chapman, urban sketcher, will teach super-quick creative techniques and we will explore our theme – ‘Belonging and not belonging’ – by sketching objects brought from home or from the museum collection.
No artistic experience necessary. All materials provided. Just bring yourself, an object linked to our ‘belonging’ theme, and your curiosity.
The workshop is free. Register for a place on Eventbrite.
Part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
