Description
While personal resilience is fundamental in staying optimistic and effective within challenging development roles, it’s not enough to keep us going in the long term. Community and solidarity represent a vital piece of the puzzle, helping us to tackle complex problems and providing the emotional support we need to avoid despair during turbulent social and political moments.
In the next community of practice (CoP), we will discuss how practitioners can encourage their institutions and colleagues to embrace more collective ways of working that foster social cohesion and resilience.
This session represents the fourth in a series of (CoPs) where practitioners can share concerns, ideas, feelings, and advice about building and maintaining resilience. We welcome people from all backgrounds and parts of the world to join in this complex and fascinating discussion.
In the last session, we discussed the connection between hope and resilience, a summary of which you can read on the GDI blog. All are welcome to join the next session, whether or not you’ve joined a previous session. Do spread the word!
Please note that this session will now take place on 25th November (not 18th November as originally advertised).
