Presentation is captioned "The political dilemmas of decolonisation: Race, migration and the production of knowledge".
The thesis is that decolonisation movements from the Global South lacked radical edge. They underestimated institutional power, relied on limiting binaries, undermined African scholarly agency, and diluted impact by overextending the decolonisation label - ultimately sidelining other radical traditions and confining activism to narrow, manageable spaces.
