Dear PGR students,
I’m happy to announce that the first Department of SaS Postgraduate Research Student Conference will be held on?17th January 2024.
?
This year, we will make it a 3-minute Thesis Competition, which means that PGRs are asked to give an oral presentation for 3 minutes about the novelty, significance and key findings of your PhD project. Only one static slide will be used. More detailed information and the?registration form?can be found on the conference website: 2024 Winter PGR Thesis Competition
To participate in the conference, we require each of you to submit (a) one static slide, (b) three - five highlights, and © one A4 page abstract for your talk. Templates of the abstract will be shared with you soon. The deadline for submitting your abstract is?5 pm,?December 7, 2023.?
In addition, we will invite two of our PGR graduates (one from academia and one from industry) as conference guests to share their experiences about seeking and transitioning to their new posts.
