The University of Manchester is committed to working with gifted and talented young people, helping to enrich their experience of learning by enabling them to take part in educational activities outside the classroom and to meet lecturers and students from Higher Education.
These Maths Workshops, aimed at students in Year 7 - 9, see students partake in a variety of fun, interactive puzzles and problems designed to illustrate how Maths can be used and applied in everyday life. In addition to developing Maths skills, these events enhance participants' skills of analysis, problem-solving and logical thinking through applying previous knowledge and using their initiative.
