Do you have a leadership role within the development sector? Do you ever struggle with the demands and complexity of the role? Do politics and complex power structures affect your ability to effectively carry out responsibilities? You're not alone – leaders at all levels struggle with these issues, often finding creative solutions to overcome complex barriers.
GDI is setting up a summer series of communities of practice, allowing you to share your problems, solution, and wisdom with others. It is a welcoming space for you to share experiences and learn from people who are dealing with similar issues. It is not a lecture, but a community space of reflection on practice.
For more information about communities of practice, please see our informative blog post: https://blog.gdi.manchester.ac.uk/why-attend-communities-of-practice/
In our first session, we will discuss how leaders can develop resilience in challenging times. We will establish topics for future sessions based on needs and problems that arise during the first meeting.
Natalie Cunningham will facilitate the first session. Please register via Zoom: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwsceChqD8sHdHg7c1ml4gJguNvuaB0ovow
All who are interested in this discussion are welcome.
