Come on in to Fairtrade Fortnight 2018!
It’s Fairtrade Fortnight from 26th February to 12th March so it’s time to step up and stand by the farmers and workers who grow our food.
As a Fairtrade University we will be supporting the ethical, fair and sustainable foundations of Fairtrade in a number of ways across our Food On Campus cafes.
Why not pop in to our new pop up ‘Ethical Eats’ stand in Eats, University Place, where they will be serving food made using local, sustainable ingredients. Most of the produce used in the 'Ethical Eats' pop up will be sourced from Manchester Veg People.
Or maybe treat yourself to a regular Fairtrade hot drink and a cake from our new range of delicious homemade Fairtrade sweet treats for just £2.50.
Or – even better – March 1st is free cake Thursday! Simply follow @foodoncampusmcr on Twitter or Instagram, head down to Eats and show us, then pick up your free homemade Fairtrade cake. Free, Fairtrade cake – doesn't get more guilt free than that!
And just to top it off - if you follow and send us a picture of yourself enjoying a delicious Fairtrade product on campus over the two week period using the #FairtradeFortnightUOM, you will be in with the chance of winning a hamper filled with lots of Fairtrade goodies!
