Dr Stef Pukallus is Senior Lecturer in Public Communication and Civil Development at the University of Sheffield. She is co-founder and Chair of the Hub for the Study of Hybrid Communication in Peacebuilding (HCPB). She is interested in the communicative conditions for peaceful cooperation in civil society. More specifically, Stef’s focus is the role that public communication (broadly conceived) variously plays in the building, development, diminishment, fragmentation and destruction of civil society (both emerging and mature) across the world. Her third single-authored book entitled ‘Communication Peacebuilding. Civil wars, civility and safe spaces’ is out in February 2022 and is published by Palgrave.
