To prepare for Marina Abramovic Presents... the Whitworth's public spaces are now emptied of all art and design. This is the first time since the Gallery was reconfigured in the 1960s that it has been seen completely without its collection. Once Marina Abramovic Presents... has finished it takes from 20 July to 31 July to put the Whitworth's collections back on show.
During these periods the Gallery Cafe and Shop are open as normal and family activities take place in the green spaces around the Gallery. Each day Whitworth staff take you to see a special work or a behind-the-scenes space to give you a rare and unique view of the Whitworth and its collections.
Talks and Tours: repeated throughout each day at 11am, 12noon, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
