For the first time, the UK’s largest High Voltage Laboratory will be opening its doors and running demonstrations for staff from across the University. The laboratory has recently been in the media as part of YouTube blogger Tom Scott’s video channel. This is a great opportunity to meet and engage with the researchers within the high voltage laboratory, or simply to witness the true capabilities of the equipment in person with demos including a lightning bolt of over a million volts and more.
Access to the open day is via Eventbrite. There are morning and afternoon slots available and each session will run for 30 minutes.
